David J. McDonald, Owner/President
David McDonald received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from The University of Texas at Arlington with additional studies in interior design and construction. While in college, he also instructed an accredited orientation class for freshman for two years.
David’s start in construction was with HKS Architects in Dallas, Texas where he was an intern design professional. Key projects he worked on were: J.C. Penney Headquarters, Aston Ambulatory Hospital, Mary Washington Hospital.
David continued his career in construction with Centra Asset Partners property management company in Fort Worth, Texas where he became Vice President of Berkeley Construction (an in-house general contracting company). He was responsible for running the construction and space planning department which had oversight of construction for thirty properties in the DFW area.
He was responsible for overseeing the production of in-house construction drawings, estimation of projects, project management and superintending. While at Centra, he completed approximately 325 projects for sixteen million in interior finish-out. Key projects: Ross and Matthews Law Firm, Fort Worth - $650,000. Klabzuba Oil and Gas, Fort Worth - $700,000.
As Senior Project Manager with Milestone in Carrollton, Texas, David was responsible for estimating interior projects ranging in value up to one million. He was responsible for managing projects through completion by working with clients, architects, city officials, subcontractors and superintendents. While at Milestone, he completed approximately 75 projects for four million in interior finish-out. Key projects: Veterans Health, Arlington - $972,000. Lucent Technologies, Irving - $700,000.
David started Commercial Construction Services in April of 2003. He has completed approximately 200 projects for 12 million in interior finish-out. Recently completed projects: Structure Orthopaedics- $300,000. Orkin- $90,000. Star Nephrology- $100,000. Dr. Agnes Kinra- $130,000. Plano Heart Center- $175,000. David resides in Little Elm with his wife Robin and two daughters. David and his family enjoy jet-skiing, tennis, snow skiing, sports and the outdoors. They are members of Elevate Life Church in Frisco, Texas.
